Federal Investigations

The attorneys at HCL regularly represent school department clients who are the subject of federal investigations from a number of agencies. We have represented clients regarding complaints filed at the Office of Civil Rights. We have the experience to guide clients through the complaint process and have experience with all facets of that process, including ECR (Early Complaint Resolution), Responding to Document Requests and 302 Settlement Negotiations. In addition, we work with our clients to ensure that they are in compliance with any settlement agreements they have entered into with OCR.  The lawyers of Henneous Carroll and Lombardo are also experienced with investigations by other federal agencies, including investigations by the Department of Justice. We have successfully represented our clients during DOJ investigations and throughout the litigation process after a complaint has been filed.
