Public Records

Many of our clients at HCL are public entities who are responsible for complying with R.I.’s Access to Public Records Act or Massachusetts’ Public Records Law. Our lawyers have extensive knowledge of both state and public records law and answer public records requests on behalf of our clients. At HCL, we advise our clients as to what records are public and what records are exempt under the law.  In addition, we have experience answering formal complaints made to the Attorney General on behalf of our clients.
